Community Music School is proud to be part of a select group of schools that offer the Berklee PULSE™ (Pre-University Learning System Experience) music method to under-served teens at no cost to them. Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music’s City Music Network invited us to join in 2010.
PULSE is a real-time, online music education method, designed for teenaged students. Our students get the benefits of a Berklee education through access to its professionally trained instructors and invaluable learning material. They learn music theory, ear training, and instrumental and vocal training by playing and analyzing the music of some of today’s most popular R&B, hip-hop, rock, Latin, and jazz artists.
PULSE is even more than music, though. It’s an online community where students can network and absorb positive influences. It paves the way for kids to become more accomplished, more confident, and more influential in their world.
