Marilyn Budrow Strings Department

Many students have fond memories of studying music under the guidance of Mrs. Marilyn Budrow. As a way of saying “thank you” to a beloved teacher, her former students are partnering with Community Music School to honor her with the Marilyn Budrow Strings Department at CMS. Each year, donors will be invited to performances, and recognized for their generous support.

Marilyn dedicated six years of service to CMS, serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors and also as Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee, focusing on the development and maintenance of high standards of education for each CMS student.

With a five-year commitment of support, at $5000 per year, we will expand our Strings Department to include a strings ensemble or chamber group, as well as add master classes, concert attendance opportunities, competitions, and other educational opportunities and events for our strings students. We will also be able to acquire upgraded instruments and other necessary music and supplies.
