How Does Your Contribution Help Community Music School?
Tuition. The $1 per lesson that our families pay does not cover the expenses of faculty salaries, supplies, classroom rental and other administrative costs of operating the school. Your support is what makes it possible for us to keep tuition affordable for our students.
Performance Ensembles. Donor contributions help us meet the additional instruction and rehearsal costs of our specialty ensembles that include strings, vocal, pop, percussion, and hand bells.
Summer Camps. We provide creative and challenging programs for CMS students to advance their musical skills during summer break. Contributions help us afford additional instructors, special guests, field trips, meals, supplies, and classroom space.
Instrument Maintenance. All in-school and loaned instruments require regular care such as tunings, new strings and reeds. It can cost $185 to tune one piano.
Music Stands and Chairs. Professional musician chairs teach proper performance posture, and music stands are essential. Prices for each start at $50.
